knowing is half the battle

I know what I need. It's never far from my thoughts and although I have been writing about it and planning for playful excursions in the Spring, I've not been making creative play a priority in the here and now.  My soul needs some creative nurturing.  I need to get messy.  I need to create and paint and play.

Sometimes I get so caught up in the details that I forget to slow down and enjoy the process. So this weekend, I'm going to set aside the things that bring me down, and turn to what always lifts me up... paper lanterns, soulful acoustic music, something yummy in a mug, art supplies and something to make a beautiful mess on.

What does your soul need? Do take the time to feed it. Drink it in. You won't be sorry you did. ♥

Mucho love,
Carmen

Lovely bit of advice. I am planning to paint as much as I can this weekend. It is what keeps me going all week long.

I am doing just as your are. I have spent the past two days playing in a new journal and visiting with my youngest daughter. It isn't often her and I get time together. We lunched and visited friends and spent a wonderful 2 hours in Hobby Lobby. Tomorrow I will work more in my journal and maybe start a second one before the first is finished. After all I will need a Christmas themed journal and I did buy more supplies to make one today. Happy weekend to you.

We all need to give our self the joy letting go. By doing what we love the most without the pressure of the mind, we are able to fully enjoy the present moment. :-)
