Wishcasting Wednesday...What do I wish to give?

Bliss looks like this.

Last Friday, I signed up for Jamie Ridler's e-course called Soul Reflections.  I had planned, or hoped anyway, to steal away some time over the weekend to work though the course.  It requires uninterrupted time, which I set an intention on Friday to find/make/steal over the weekend.

By Sunday afternoon, it was starting to look like my uninterupted time would have to come while my husband was away at work and the kids were sound asleep... which would mean another late night, but I was committed.

A little later, Dan got a call from work and was cancelled for the evening.  He came in and told me to, "Get outa here.  Go to the bookstore if ya want.  Stay as long as you'd like," he said.  I practically did an old fashioned happy dance as I darted to the closet to change into something suitable to wear in public.  I hit the ground running.... iPod in hand and collage supplies in tow.

I spent the next few hours at the bookstore café, magazines ripped to pieces, glue stick and coffee at the ready, listening to Jamie's calming voice prompt me to find images, make collages and journal my hearts desires.  I found that being away from usual interruptions invited me to be a little more vulnerable and allowed me to pay close attention to my thought process and feelings.

I finished my Soul Reflections work with a few surprises, some reaffirmed beliefs and some new intentions.

Today's Wishcasting Wednesday promt is:

"What do you wish to give?"

Today and always I wish to

Give hope
Give love
Give my kids the attention they crave
Give patience to myself and others
Give kindness and respect
Give chances and second chances
Give time to loved ones and cherished friends
Give support and encouragement
Give an ear and listen
Give a shoulder to laugh or cry on
Give a smile to a stranger
Give random acts of kindness
Give a hand to hold or help
Give appreciation to those who love, support and encourage me
Give back to those who listen, smile, and hold my hand & give an ear or a shoulder when needed

And most of all, I wish to

Give thanks.

Thank you Jamie for a wonderful workshop.  I plan to repeat this process again and again.  You are the star I'm wishing on tonight!

And thank you to those of you reading this for taking the time to stop by.  I appreciate you.  I hope all your holiday wishes (and beyond) come true.

Dreaming big dreams and wishing my deepest wishes,

Carmen

As Carmen wishes for herself, so I wish for her also.

It was such a joy to read about your Soul Reflections journey. You know, I created it hoping to make it like we were in the room together. Now, with you sharing your experience, it's even more like that were true. You brought tears to my eyes and gave me the gift of knowing that the work I am sharing with the world is meaningful.

You are a shining star, beautiful Carmen.

hugs,
Jamie

Hi Carmen,

A harmonious post sprinkled with literary melodies. So glad you made it to the bookstore. Great places to just hang or do projects. All your gives are wonderful. Love the last one the most!

I wish for you to give all that you want to give!

Hi Carmen,
Thanks for sharing your wishes and your collaging at the bookstore story (and pic!). It's so amazing what can happen when we give ourselves time and space out of the fray to dive in and dream big -- and having a gluestick and a stack of magazines certainly helps!
