I'm a superhero! And you are too.

work in progress - maybe my super alterego will make an appearance here.

The other day, my friend Jess posed the questions, "If you were a superhero, what would you look like? What would your super power be?"  What a fun positive thinking exercise!  And one that stirred the dreamer in me.

My superhero is a cheerleader. She carries pom-poms, markers and a megaphone. She does her best work wearing yoga pants and a buffalo tshirt. She travels far and wide at lightning speed via the World Wide Web and she inspires people everywhere she goes with her creativity, words and spirit. You can find her in places where women gather seeking motivation and inspiration. She's often overheard encouraging people to get fired up and follow their bliss!

So spill it!  Let's hear about superhero you!

(Trust me, you'll be smiling from ear to ear when you're finished!)

Mmmwhaaa,

Carmen

Hi Carmen! I'll play along...let's see...

My superhero is a luminary. She brings light to the world and comfort to aching hearts. She makes the world a better place, just for being in it. She wears red, which is the colour of love and fire and passion. She is warm, funny and surrounded by good vibes. She follows her intuition and the world just opens up before her. She is fierce in the face of adversity. Her heart always points her to her true north.

P.S. Thanks for "friending" me on Flickr. I've added you back and I admire your art. :)

@lori - Thank you so much! I'd love to make that happen sometime!

@kelly - I am a cheerleader at heart. I loved it when you decided to call The Purple Cottage supporters "cheerleaders"!

@lelainia - Oh my gosh, I love this so much! You ARE a luminary!!!

I've definitely got the ability to {see} things. So, I am a superhero with super sensitive sight!

Carmen,
I love this....and your piece is incredible!!!
I promise I didn't read all the others first...but the idea of a superhero being a cheerleader was exactly where I was heading....why...everybody needs one! Always full of life and energy! Go You Go!!

You so need to draw your superhero! I wanna see her! I might draw mine even though I only do stick figures.

My Superhero gives everyone automatic clarity in how they can follow their dreams. Maybe not how to get to The Answer, but definitely the feeling that they can do it. So, she'd give everyone the belief: Yes I Can - & I Will! She'd also always have hair that was slightly curled & full of body, even in rainy/humid weather. And her high heels are as comfy as her flats. And she wears very bright colors & sings at times.

She is a very awesome, odd superhero.

i found your blog through artful blogging, dear cheerleader!!...your work is beautiful & uplifting! hmmm, what a fundreamy superhero imagining...i'd be a rainbow healer...bringing healing & love to people through reflecting their beautiful colors & beauty...and i'd have endless energy & ways to reach them. thank you for asking...it opened me up to forming these words. & lovebeauty i send your way too!! www.allididwaslisten.blogspot.com
